Featuring the music of the Temptations, Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, the Jackson Five and scores more million-selling artists, the Magic of Motown stage show - featuring special guest multi-platinum Stateside soul singer Alexander O’Neal - opens the Lakeside Magic Festival on Thursday, July 10.
Direct from the USA, smash hit stage show the Magic of Motown is the biggest Motown show on tour boasting an incredible cast of 15 on stage, dazzling costume changes, superb choreography and a Queen's Award-nominated score.
The show also includes golden memories from Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, Martha Reeves, Smokey Robinson, Mary Wells, the Isley Borthers, Jimmy Ruffin and many other legendary performers. Hits like Reach Out, Baby Love, I Heard it Through the Grapevine, For Once in My Life and Dancing in the Streets are included in a set containing 32 chart-topping songs.
Special guest for the evening is Alexander O'Neal. Flying in from America for the open-air show, Alexander's album Hearsay and hit singles Criticize, Saturday Love and Fake are all worldwide million-sellers. He has released a brand-new album called Alex Loves… a reworking of Saturday Love from that album has already been released to critical acclaim. A duet with Mica Paris of Atlantic Starr’s Secret Lovers is released as a single to support the album launch.
